Oh right... the readings.. my current reading is Avalon by Anya Seton. Only about a hundred pages in at the most. I won't give the rundown just yet but its a historical fictional novel which is moving towards a romance at a slow (the way it should be) pace. With a dashing and moral (mostly) royal man, a lovely, clever girl becoming a woman, and a beautiul, evil and plotting Queen... whats not to love? Regretfully I shall stop here. Oh and one more thing. I've added a photo of the current novel. Now I know they always say "Don't judge a book by it's cover." I don't know who "they" nesessarily are but I rarely follow that advise for better or worse. In this preticular case, it was for the better. Browsing the shelves at the local bookstore, I came across this beauty. The cover completely drew me in along with it's glossy finish. Maybe shocking to some, but I've never heard of Anya Seton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anya_seton) and upon further investigation found that Katherine (1954) is a much beloved book of hers. I do indeed plan to read Katherine very soon. Just as soon as I can justify my last bookshop spending spree. ~Jo

In the Beginning... There Was A Blog.
To be perfectly honest, I'm the last person that should be starting a blog. I am under the continuing suspicion that I am a complete bore, with little or no writing/computer skills, and am most likely right however severe that may sound. But... why the heck not? Originally this blog was born for the sole purpose of reviewing recently read books but who knows what it will morph into? Nothing but an online rambling? I couldn't care less but it feels good to put thoughts down to pen... or uh rather keyboard I suppose. No matter who or who may not be reading it and no matter how pretentious I may feel thinking that people would actually care to read what random thoughts I may have. Here's to unorganized thoughts and a sad but valiant attempt at blogging.
